Die Boland Amateur Radio Klub is gestig gedurende Junie 1948 as Tak Boland en op 25 Mei 1996 is die naam verander na Boland Amateurradio Klub.
BARK is die grootste klub in Wes-Kaap met oorwegend Afrikaans sprekende lede waarvan party buite die Boland gebied woonagtig is in die gebied gedek deur die hele Wes-Kaap.
Wat is die Boland ?
Boland is ‘n gebied in die Wes-Kaap Provinsie van Suid-Afrika sonder duidelik vasgestelde grense wat hoofsaaklik die wyn- en vrugteproduserende deel van die provinsie aan dui.
Bekende dorpe in die Boland is: Franschhoek, Malmesbury, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Tulbagh, Villiersdorp, Wellington en Worcester. Die klub bedien ook Kaapstad se Noordelike voorstede inwoners wat hulle vereenselwig by die gees van die klub.
Die Boland is ‘n wereldbekende bergagtige gebied met hoofsaaklik winter reënval.
WELCOME TO THE BOLAND AMATEUR RADIO KLUB’S WEBSITE
The Boland Amateur Radio Club was established during June 1948 as the Tak Boland and on 25 May 1996 the name was changed to Boland Amateur Radio Klub.
BARK is the largest club in the Western Cape with predominantly Afrikaans-speaking members, some of whom live outside the Boland area in the whole of the Western Cape Region.
What is the Boland?
Boland is an area in the Western Cape Province of South Africa without clearly defined boundaries that mainly indicates the wine and fruit-producing part of the province.
Well-known towns in the Boland are: Franschhoek, Malmesbury, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Tulbagh, Villiersdorp, Wellington and Worcester. The club also serves the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town and those that align themselves with the aims of the club.
It is a world renowned mountainous area with mainly winter rainfall.
